The Ruskin project encompasses a transformative remodelling and extension of an existing home, thoughtfully designed to accommodate the evolving needs of a young family who has occupied this residence for several years. Commissioned to identify and unlock the untapped potential of the property, our clients sought to create much-needed space without compromising on style or functionality.

Currently in the construction phase, Chirag Desai Architects took on the challenge of maximizing the footprint of the ground floor within the confines of a small site. Our approach involved leveraging the existing extension while strategically demolishing internal walls, resulting in the creation of a vast open-plan space that seamlessly blends the kitchen, living room, and dining area together. A motivation behind dismantling the previous extension was to flood the main living spaces with an abundance of natural light, enhancing the overall ambiance of the home.
